True health starts with strong spinal foundation
From Pain to Freedom. From Limitation to Performance.
Chiropractic is a natural discipline that strengthens your health and your immune system from the inside, without relying on medications or surgeries. My goal is to help each patient restore balance, reduce pain, and live with more energy.

Meet your Gonstead expert in Seixal
Most people don’t look for a chiropractor because they enjoy the idea of getting adjusted.
They come because something in their life isn’t working the way it should — pain that keeps returning, tension that limits what they can do, or the feeling that their body just isn’t performing the way it used to.
I discovered chiropractic through my mother’s recovery from chronic migraines — the moment I saw how precise adjustments could change a life. I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to chiropractic and help people feel and function at their best.
Year later, I trained at AECC University College in the UK, one of Europe’s most respected chiropractic institutions, and specialised in the Gonstead method — a precise, hands-on system that looks beyond pain to find where movement and communication in the spine have been lost.

Frequently asked questions
What is and how does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic care is a clinical method focused on assessing and correcting the spine and musculoskeletal system.
Through a detailed analysis of posture, mobility, medical history, and when necessary, imaging exams, misalignments that may cause pain or limitation are identified. Care is provided through specific manual adjustments that restore normal joint movement and allow the body to regain its natural balance.
Does chiropractic really work?
Yes. Thousands of people around the world turn to chiropractic care to relieve lower back pain, sciatica, disc herniations, neck pain, and headaches. Many patients report improvements within the first sessions, because the goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but to correct the underlying cause. Consistent care ensures longer-lasting results.
Are the adjustments safe?
Yes, chiropractic adjustments are safe — as long as they are performed with proper skill and technique. Anyone can create a “pop” in the spine, but that does not mean anything has been corrected. A specific adjustment is an art that needs many years learning and refining it. The Gonstead Method is internationally recognized for its precision: adjusting only the vertebra that truly needs it, without unnecessary movements.
Does every patient receive the same adjustments?
No. Each person is unique, and every spine has different needs. That’s why I always begin with a complete assessment: posture, mobility, clinical tests, and the patient’s history. Only then do I decide which vertebra needs to be adjusted and how. My goal is for each adjustment to be specific, precise, and performed only when truly necessary — never a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Can chiropractic help with sports injuries?
Yes. Many athletes come to me with pain or limitations caused by intense training or repetitive injuries. Through specific adjustments, I help restore mobility, improve postural alignment, and reduce accumulated tension — allowing for faster and safer recovery.
Chiropractic care helps to:
- Restore normal joint mobility
- Improve postural alignment
- Reduce tension that limits performance
- Support recovery after sprains, overload, or muscle pain
That’s why athletes in sports such as football, paddle, surfing, running, and gym training are increasingly turning to chiropractic care as part of their prevention and performance routine.
Which conditions can be treated with chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is recommended for a wide range of spine and nervous system issues. Among the most common are:
- lower back pain (lumbago),
- sciatica,
- disc herniation,
- neck pain and stiff neck,
- headaches and migraines,
- dizziness and vertigo,
- postural imbalances,
- sports injuries,
- pregnancy-related discomfort,
- stiffness and loss of mobility.
The goal is always to address the root cause of the problem with specific adjustments — not just to relieve symptoms.
Why is it not recommended to adjust myself?
Trying to “crack” your own back — or letting someone without training do it — is not the same as receiving a chiropractic adjustment. Most of the time, what happens is simply the release of gas between the joints (the familiar “pop”), without correcting the real restriction of movement.
In fact, self-adjusting can:
- Create instability in the joints instead of correcting them.
- Worsen compensations and increase wear in already fragile areas.
- Provide a temporary sense of relief, but without addressing the root cause.
A chiropractic adjustment, especially with the Gonstead Method, is highly specific: it identifies the exact vertebra to adjust, in the right direction, with the proper force. This requires years of training and clinical experience. That’s why the safest and most effective way to care for your spine is through a qualified professional — not through self-adjustments.
What is the difference between a chiropractor and an osteopath?
Although both fields work with the musculoskeletal system, there are important differences:
Chiropractic focuses mainly on spinal alignment, the nervous system, and joints, with an emphasis on specific and precise adjustments.
Osteopathy takes a broader approach, including manual techniques for muscles, tissues, and even internal organs.
In practice, chiropractic care is highly targeted and based on detailed assessments (such as the Gonstead Method), while osteopathy is generally more broad and holistic.
Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?
Yes. During pregnancy, the body goes through postural and hormonal changes that can cause lower back pain, sciatica, or pelvic discomfort. With gentle, adapted techniques, chiropractic care can safely help relieve these tensions.
Benefits for expectant mothers:
- Reduced lower back and pelvic pain
- Improved mobility and posture
- Relief of sciatic nerve pressure
- Greater comfort throughout pregnancy
Many obstetricians and physiotherapists now recognize chiropractic care as a safe complementary support during this stage.
Why is it sometimes necessary to take X-rays?
X-rays allow us to observe the internal condition of the spine and identify changes that would not be visible through a physical examination alone. They can reveal signs such as disc wear, alignment changes, abnormal development, bone spurs, or other indications of degeneration.
Having an X-ray before beginning adjustments helps guide care in a more precise and safe way. When combined with other clinical assessments, this information makes it possible to adapt treatment to each person’s specific needs, increasing effectiveness and reducing risks.
